Dine in a "Kubo"! New found resto bar in Tagaytay!

While updating my blog about the Jesca, of course we need to find a new place to eat a good and tasty bulalo aside from Leslie, since bulalo is known main dish of Tagaytay. And we did found a resto along E. Aguinaldo Highway near the Walter Mart (Serin Ayala Mall).

At the Entrance
At the entrance, there is a green&white covered resto, but what my eyes caught was the "Kubo" (Nipa hut) inside the place. We got more curious inside, so we entered. At my surprised, you will be welcomed by different staffs and ask you to dine in their respective resto. So it came to my knowledge that this place is something like a food hub. It was great, because you have an option to choose from, they offers different "Gimik". One resto offers live band, the other offers loud and disco music and the other offers the table inside kubo. But the dilemma is which of this resto will offer a good and much better bulalo since this is what we've looking for.

Resto environment
Its about 2min talked with my buddy on which resto we're going to dine. Finally, we decided to dine at "Bradley's Grill Bulalohan & Crispy Tawilis". You know why? Hahaha. I don't know either, maybe they offered a table inside the Nipa Hut first (yes, there are other Resto that offers table inside the Kubo also) and it seems giving a feeling of privacy. Aside from that, the view from the Kubo is amazing. You can see the view of Taal lake from here even though it was dark back then since it was dinner it was still amazing view of lights sparkling all over the place near the taal lake. Even though one of the Resto(s) near the Bradley offers a loud and disco sound music, don't be curios, you can also hear the loud music from here.

So its time to judge their meal. We ordered their "Special bulalo". What my excitement got higher was the warmer, yes! the warmer that came along in served with the bulalo, keeping the soup/dish warm while we took any single bite of the bulalo. The smell was so great and alluring. The dish was made with completed ingredient from the vegetable to spices and of course you can ask the staff for the condiments (sili (chili), calamansi, soy sauce, etc.). The meat for me was soft and tender easy to chew. The soup was tasty aside from being greasy because of the oil/fat of the beef. And yes, overall it was a yummy and tasty bulalo. We ordered also their grilled T-bone Steak but it was salty. Anyway, we are here for the bulalo.

Overall, we found a new place that offers a great bulalo and I think it was affordable. The serving was good for 4 persons (big servings) and just for less than Php 500.  And if so happened you'll going to dine here, order also their 6+1 bucket beer. This will heat your body from the cool environment. Try yourself here and feel free to comment your experience in the comment section. Thank you for reading my blog.

Note: Expect to have Service Charge.

Places must visit in Tagaytay during Holy week!

(A search for sacred and peaceful place in Tagaytay)

Yes! As early as today, I'm exploring and searching for the Churches and Holy places to visit on Holy week. Here are some of it in Tagaytay.

1. Tierra de Maria also known as the place of Our Lady of Manaoag

Manaoag is one of the Miraculous Patron in Tagaytay. If you want a peaceful place to
communicate with God in a solemn and sacred ambiance/environment, this is the place you’re
looking for. The holiness inside the room will fill your faithfulness to HIM. You can also write
your wishes in a given peace of paper and if you also want you can drop it in the box with your
kind donation.

Tierra de Maria is also near the Picnic Groove. This is just 5-min walk distance. From Olivarez
terminal just ride a jeep and ask the driver to drop you off to Manaoag. So if your itinerary include
Picnic Groove, try or could I say… you must also visit Tierra de Maria.

2. Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

This is the Parish church of the City of Tagaytay. Ran by the Capuchin, Order of Franciscan
Minors. As per the local, It is the center of people’s Faith in the City. There is a Mass scheduled
everyday here and also Novena in every 23rd of each Month. Inside the facilities of the church
you could find the place to lit some candle for wishes, and some grotto for a quick prayer and
some beautiful spot to just rest or take some photos.

This is just near the newly-built Ayala Mall - Serin / Walter Mart and Jesca. From Olivarez
Plaza or in Terminal, just ride a jeep or bus the is going to Nasugbu and ask the
driver/conductor to drop you off to Lourdes Church.

3. Angel’s hill

At first, I thought this is the Pink sister convent. When we searched the Pink sister and
asked the driver of the Jeep, he told and dropped us off  to the road the leads to the Pink sister
convent. After 15 mins walk from the Emiolio-Aguinaldo Highway, we reach this church full
of the people from the entrance. So we decided to enter to this church and attended the mass.
We really amazed inside with full spiritual figures and facilities. They also offer facilities for retreat.

From Olivarez terminal, you can just walk for about 20-30mins. Or you can ride a tricycle.

4. Pink Sister Convent

This is the most popular catholic convent also known as Convent of Divine Mercy.
As per my research on website and on some blogs, this is the most beautiful and nice place
to get solemnized. A place where a Nun wearing a pink clothing known for “The Pink Sister”
and officially known as Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters.

This is the place I’m longing to see and experience for a long time. Soon, I will be here too.

5. Blue Sister Convent

There is no so much information about this convent in the website. But upon reading
in some of the blogs, this convent was sometime had been the residence of the Pink Sister
in 1923. Blue sisters or Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit welcomed the Pink Sisters
and accommodated them before the later have to go to their convent in Lipa, Batangas as their
“sister order”.

This is also one of the place included in my next itinerary if I will be in Tagaytay.

My previous blog  here. About the places must visit in Tagayatay.
