Cheapest accomodation in tagaytay!

Updated post related to Jesca Aug 2016

 ____________________________________________________________________________

This October is my mom birthday month, so I decided to have a 2-day vacation not so far from Manila as a treat to her. Since Tagaytay is nearer than Baguio and we want to feel the cool breeze morning with fog, we decided to go to Tagaytay.

Choosing accomodation from one of the hotels or rooms in Tagaytay is the hardest part and take me so long to deal with. Doing searching and surfing the net makes me more depressed seeing a price that is not suitable in our budget. There a lot of hotels, inns, lodges, rooms and houses in the Tagaytay to choose from, but the problem is, lot of them are expensive. After a week of searching, thanks to this blog, http://mynosebleed.com/2011/08/01/best-place-to-stay-overnight-in-tagaytay, and I've found a place to stay in Tagaytay.

A week before, we schedule our trip to tagaytay. My sister already did the booking in Jesca lakeview bed and breakfast. Initially we planned to get in tagaytay with 13 persons and Ms. Rose was kind and quoted us Php 3750 for the 3 rooms, but because of some reason and typhoon in that week we were down at 6 persons and a day before our trip we informed Ms. Rose and ask for deduction, and she quoted us Php 2500 for 2 rooms.

Despite typhoon Santi attacking the Luzon at that day (October 12, 2013), it didn't stop us. 11 am, morning of Saturday we headed to Southern Luzon terminal at coastal mall. From there, we headed to Tagaytay via bus (route to Nasugbu Batangas) with fare of Php 76 per person, not bad. We asked the conductor to drop us in front on the Lourdes Church in Aguinaldo Highway along Tagaytay. As instructed by Ms. Rose, from there we can walk through the sign board proveda and we can see the jesca. And that's it, we on the right track and found the jesca. But you will need to be careful down to jesca, cause the road is quite stiff.

Outside the house there was the sign board of the name, so you will not hard to look for it. After having a chat with Ms. Rose we headed to our rooms. The two rooms are quite spacious with 6 of us. One room can accommodate up-to 5 persons with  CR inside that is common for the second room that can accommodate up-to 3 persons. So if we combine the two rooms, it can accommodate up-to 8 persons (6 adults and 2 children).

Since it was raining outside, roaming around jesca is the thing we can do while raining. Yes, the rooms and C.R. were clean, but you can see some of the signs that the house is old. There were signs of cracked on wall, damaged door's brace and rusty furniture. But it was ok, since we are in tight budget and not rich to stay in an expensive hotel, those rooms were enough to stay for a night. We were in the second floor and no aircon since we were in Tagaytay and at the same time it was raining! Hahaha! The rain enhance the cold weather in Tagaytay.

You can consider Jesca in your list of accommodation in Tagaytay. And I must say it is the cheapest accommodation so far. To add on that, Jesca is near in oliverarez plaza and one ride to olivarez terminal where you can ride a jeep going to some tourist destinations like picnic groove, people's park and palace in the sky.

Tip: choose the second floor, it's better than the first floor.

Ekstra

Ekstra

A socio-realist drama-comedy film, it follows a seemingly usual day in the life of LOIDA MALABANAN as she embarks on yet another shooting day of a soap opera as an extra. As the shoot goes on, we get a glimpse of the truth in the ruling system of the production as well as the exploitation of the marginalized laborers like her. Actors/Actress:
Ms. Vilma Santos
Marlon Rivera
Vincent de Jesus

My review:
Another indie film that will touch the heart of many. This film tackles what and how the life of being an extra is? Ekstra in this film pertaining to a role of an actor/actress that is considered as cast that is not individually recognizable. It pertains to one of the crowd, one of the maids, one of the workers, one of the employees, one of the guests that will be showed on background, showed only your back, or the appearance on the film takes only a couple of second.

Vilma santos consider as one of the most best actress of all time. She delivers the role well. The story is great, realistic and phenomenal. Considering that Philippines is in third world country, many of us can relate and appreciate the story of Ekstra. The moral lesson that it will be shared upon watching is that, despite all trials, aches and downs, we face it and try hard to earn and give future to our children. Everything we will do even we get hurt or cries a lot just we can give something to our children. Nice story watch it!

My review:
The story of Kung fu divas revolve in searching and fulfilling destiny. The two girls have to fulfilled their own destiny. One being grew up to search for a true love and one grew up to search for a tittle. The story will teach you what is destiny of a human is all about and how destiny will be fulfilled. The story is wise. The twist is in the middle and in the end. A story of two girls cross their way and meet in a pageant and becomes mortal rivals without knowing the destiny will merge and unite them as a team for a mission. About the effects, I must say that the Filipino movie evolves in terms of effects. The effects is likely as of in "Tiktik, the aswang chronicles", no doubt since Erik Matti is one of the producers. About the actors and actress, they are all professional and no regret to say that they are good and well-portrayed the characters. The fight scene, well, this part is lack for me. Due to the effects and computerization of the scene the intensity and impact of the fight scenes were affected and made it overacted. Computerizing the sceneries, locations and some of the towers  and buildings are ok but not in kung fu fight. Overall I will give it 4 stars out of 5. It a must watch!!!
